Google Analytics
Most web hosting packages include web stats to enable you to see how much traffic your website is getting. However, Google’s own Analytics software is a cut above the rest - and it’s free of charge.
As well as drawing together all the standard information in easy-to-view charts, it has information on how people reached your website that no web hosting package can deliver.
If you are curious about how many people are finding your website, how exactly they come across it, when and what they searched for, etc. Google Analytics is the only choice. If you want to proactively monitor and fine tune a Google Ad campaign or you are investing in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to improve your ranking in the regular search results, you can’t afford to be without Google Analytics.
Google provides the facility free of charge (of course they do, because it makes their paid Google ads more attractive!) However, you need to set up an account on Google and install special code in all your web pages, which is a service we provide at World Without Walls.
We’ve had a lot of interest for this service from our existing clients, so now we’re offering it to everyone. The only real prerequisite is that you have access to edit your own website and that you are not restricted to just editing text and images.
In technical terms you need to provide us with your FTP access codes. If that just sounds like ‘gobbledegook’ to you, or you’re unsure whether you meet the prerequisites, just get in touch and we’ll look into it for you - at no extra charge.
The price is £95+VAT for up to five web-pages, plus £2+VAT per page for additional pages.
